This recipe is simple, fast, and ridiculously good. We’re keeping it classic—seared, crispy patties, melty cheese, and a secret smoky sauce that will have you wondering why you ever ate fast food.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb Best Damn Beef Ground Beef (80/20 blend)
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • 4 burger buns
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsp butter

For the Best Damn Sauce:

  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • ½ tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

Instructions:

  1. Mix the sauce ingredients and refrigerate.
  2. Divide the ground beef into 4 loose balls without overworking the meat.
  3. Heat a cast iron skillet or griddle over high heat, adding butter.
  4. Place the beef balls on the skillet and smash them flat with a spatula. Cook for 1–2 minutes until crispy, then flip, add cheese, and cook for another minute.
  5. Toast the buns and spread Best Damn Sauce on each side.
  6. Assemble and serve hot!
