This recipe is simple, fast, and ridiculously good. We’re keeping it classic—seared, crispy patties, melty cheese, and a secret smoky sauce that will have you wondering why you ever ate fast food.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb Best Damn Beef Ground Beef (80/20 blend)
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- 4 burger buns
- 4 slices cheddar cheese
- 2 tbsp butter
For the Best Damn Sauce:
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- ½ tsp Worcestershire sauce
- ½ tsp smoked paprika
- ¼ tsp garlic powder
- ¼ tsp black pepper
Instructions:
- Mix the sauce ingredients and refrigerate.
- Divide the ground beef into 4 loose balls without overworking the meat.
- Heat a cast iron skillet or griddle over high heat, adding butter.
- Place the beef balls on the skillet and smash them flat with a spatula. Cook for 1–2 minutes until crispy, then flip, add cheese, and cook for another minute.
- Toast the buns and spread Best Damn Sauce on each side.
- Assemble and serve hot!
